I have been lost in home lab haven. It is just rabbit holes all over the place trying to learn the processes and procedures for all the console tools.

AI has definitely helped me get answers on how to do things. It is just too many things all at once.

I know how I learn and how I slack off at times. I know that I just need to provide focused attention or consistency on the tasks.

I feel like I am trying to learn a solution before I know the exact problems I am trying to fix.

So the lab is three optiplex nodes each with 1TB SSD and 32GB memory. I have them connected to their own 1GB LAN and passing internet updates through NAT routing from PC wifi LAN. Set up Ubuntu VM, Ubuntu Conainer, and learning templates. Also trying to learn GIT. Need to go back through GIT again.

So progress. No quorum cluster yet or really hosting anything yet…

It’s going to take another full year of dedication to finally have a project that I’ll feel super accomplished at. It is just so much. There used to be dedicated everything that is now virtualized. There are dedicated IT teams for managing each silo of the datacenter: Network, compute, and storage. However, Proxmox and SDN can provide a distributed hyper-converged private cloud solution.

Once I have the solution figured out, I will want to hunt for problems.

AISEO is saying all these things to make my post better, I just want these ideas on this blog out of my head.
